SELF AND ART
Inspired by Uzo Hiramatsu’s contemporary art. He excels in expressing the works of nature through expansive regions of color
blocks and deft lines. He interprets the irregular character and underlying spirit of nature by repeated sketching, scraping, and
smearing, feeling the sense of beauty produced by the blending of colors and imagery. In spite of its flaws, the world symbolizes
harmony and perfection. By chance, the basic ideas of his creations resemble those of contemporary artist Cy Twombly. The viewer
will be interested in the direction of each stroke, the usage of color, and the significance of the chaos when witnessing these lines
and streaks. The truth is that each line is a genuine experience of its own innate history, to put it simply. This is the realization of a
sense of self-awareness. Hiramatsu Uzo’s works exhibit a strong reflection of this self-awareness.
Every creative endeavor undertaken by creators and artists involves hypothesis, exploration, and rivalry between artistic creativ-
ity and self-awareness. Until the artistic vision is attained, the emotions are released, calmness returns, and the work is obtained,
self-awareness and art will continue to compete. This completes the chance and destiny between beginning and ending writing.
Consciousness infiltrates the unconscious, sensibility and reason are entwined, and creativity is compressed into unrelenting effort.
This procedure alone can be inspiring.
